This professional development course gives teachers practical storytelling tools and creative strategies to increase student engagement, participation, and learning across the curriculum.
Based in Dublin, the course draws on Ireland’s rich storytelling tradition, including local legends, ancient myths, folklore, and the work of renowned Irish authors such as James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, W. B. Yeats, and Seamus Heaney. Participants will discover how Ireland’s stories and literary heritage can inspire fresh approaches to teaching and help bring classroom learning to life.
You will learn how to create and use stories that capture students’ attention, make complex ideas easier to understand, and encourage deeper learning. Storytelling can support instruction in language arts as well as history, geography, science, math, and other subject areas.
